Domestic violence is destroying the good capabilities of women everyday, and it is about time the world realised that the development of the world cannot be whole without the help of women. If women and children are continually brutalised and victimised, then surely the dream of the world reaching its highest peak of development might never come to pass. The world is ours, and its development is for the good of everybody, so it is time to do ourselves a favour.
If you’re a victim of domestic violence or abuse, you may be afraid to seek help out of fear of you’re your partner would do if he found out. However, there are many things you can do to protect yourself when leaving. Start by creating a safety plan ahead of time, so you know exactly where to go and how to get away fast when your abuser attacks. Call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233 (SAFE) for advice and help with your escape.

COLUMBUS, Ohio—A 21-year-old Columbus woman was murdered, fatally beaten in front of her own children, over the weekend, and police suspect the children’s father as the killer.
Christie Lyles was fatally beaten while her two children were in the home, and Columbus police continued to search for suspect Fred D. Brooks who also is the children’s father.
Lyles’ mother, Misty Dawson, went to her daughter’s Southeast Side home at 8:30 a.m. Sunday.
Dawson found Lyles facedown on the kitchen floor and unresponsive at her Lilley Avenue apartment. Medics pronounced 21-year-old Lyles dead at the scene.
